Deputy Director and Digital Innovation Officer
Michael Mosier is the Deputy Director & Digital Innovation Officer at Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), the financial intelligence unit and primary anti-money laundering authority of the United States. As Deputy Director, he oversees FinCEN’s wide-ranging work to promote financial integrity and national security. As Digital Innovation Officer, he is dedicated to advancing FinCEN’s engagement with emerging technology and financial innovation.
Prior to rejoining Treasury, Michael was the in-house counsel at Chainalysis, a blockchain analysis and investigations company.
Previously, Michael was Chief of Strategic Advancement at FinCEN, and served as Associate Director at Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. Before Treasury, he was Deputy Chief in the Department of Justice’s Money Laundering & Asset Recovery Section, and served a tour at the White House National Security Council as Director for Transnational Organized Crime.
Prior to government service, Michael represented technology, media, and financial clients at a law firm.
